Yesterday, the deacon was speaking about St. Agnes during our Eucharistic service.  He spoke of her devotion and faith to God.  It struck me that I was failing miserably.  Absolutely miserably.  Here was a young girl who couldn’t even freely be a Christian yet she was and very devout at that.  Here I am a grown woman with the freedoms Agnes couldn’t have even imagined and I can’t even get a rosary in my day.  I know it’s a lot about discipline.  In the face of all she suffered she was so good.

Wanting to be better is a formidable part of the battle, KC. The hardest part (I think) is for sidetracked mommies like ourselves to stay focused and in place long enough to pray. I recommend duct tape! 😉
We have little ones, though, and it can be so hard. How about this? How about you & I commit to just ONE good decade of the rosary a day? I believe that the rest will follow in God’s good time, but for now if we can just give Him our heart for those three minutes…
…He will supply for all that’s lacking.
