Mark Bavis was a hockey player at my alma mater.  I worked as the manager of the basketball team so I saw him in passing almost every day.  We were not friends and not even acquaintances–we just saw enough of each other to say hi.  He was on one of those planes that hit the World Trade Center.  Here is a tribute with an interview with his identical twin brother:
