• My parents are moving in with us in a couple of months.  It's going to be fine if a bit of a squeeze.  Not because we don't have a lot of rooms available but because, well, I'm a hoarder serious pack rat.  This weekend Ben moved our bed from the master suite into the playroom which is now officially our room.  The master suite is the staging area for organizing the rest of the house.  We have the stuff from my study which is now Sister's room plus ALL my crafting stuff.

Today, I'm finishing pulling everything out of Sister's room.  There's so much dust everywhere my sinuses are going crazy.  Sigh.  It will be done and Sister can really have her own room to organize as she pleases which, unfortunately, is a lot like me…haphazard.

I LOVE reading from a book, but I also love more having a book in e-format because it doesn't take up much shelf space.  That alone makes me want to get a Nook or Kindle for each of my children.  It won't do much to help alleviate the mess 1000s of books we already own can cause though.

I'll keep you posted on our progress.  Our house is very much in need of organization.  My dear friend, Cecelia, is itching to get to work on helping me toss.  I'm not quite ready yet.

It's cold again.  And, I mean really cold.  Okay, you Northerners who are snickering.  It's cold for Texas.  When your average lows are your highs, it's cold.  The wind is pretty wicked too.

I've become addicted to Sudoku.  I can only do the easy ones though.  My dad can whip out an easy one in no time (less than 5 minutes).  It's amazing.  It can take me up to about 15 minutes for the easy.  I'm afraid to do the medium ones.

Someone is trying to phish me.  You know.  Send me some email saying I need to check with them because someone's trying to get into my account via online.  I'm not stupid people.  I can tell when I click on the link that it's not my bank's website.  The web address is all wrong even if the home page looks the same.

Can we talk Pandora radio?  I LOVE it.  I'm coming in a little late, but I really like it.  I put in one of my absolute favorite 80s groups and it brought up all these great 80s songs.  Talk about nostalgia.

New packaging is now going to seriously make me suspicious.  We had nachos tonight.  When I poured it all out, there was less than normal.  I checked the packaging and they decreased it by an ounce.  Same price.

I've had my newest camera since around April of last year.  I have over 5500 pictures from that camera.  And, that's not including any I deleted although I really don't delete a lot of photos.  I'm working on learning more and more about this camera and taking pictures in general.  I want to learn how to use the modes that aren't automatic.

Honey is making her First Holy Communion at the beginning of March.  She will be having her First Reconciliation next week.  I am very excited for her.  She is very worried.  She wailed, "I can't remember every bad thing I've ever done!" the other day.  I'm so glad to have our priest as he very gently leads the little ones.

  • Today was just a day.  Right?  At least it was unless I was still.  Then I'd think.  I'd think of two years ago.  I'd think of the sorrow I felt two years ago.  I'd think of waiting in the examining room two years ago.  I'd think of the nurses and doctors who were so cold and unfeeling.  I'd think of my child who would've been one.  I'd think of the hope and joy we all felt with this little one.

    I miss him.

    Terribly.

St. Mark Edward, pray for us.

  • Sister:  Brother, who is your new gymnastics teacher?

Brother:  Megan; she's blonde with blue eyes.

Me:  What color are my eyes?

    Silence.

  • Ben and I have decided to purchase a Smart Car for when the girls are teenagers.  If any boy wants to take one of them out on a date, they must drive the Smart Car.  No back seat, ya know.

  • Our days are filled with activity and Saturdays are no exception.  We have ballet from 10:15 to 12:30.  Pumpkin has class and then Sister.

Dear friends brought a cute little puppy to class.  Pumpkin got her puppy fix which should last for a while.  We are not in a position to have pets.  We all have too many allergies.  Oh, and I really cannot handle a pet right now.

After class we headed to the O Mart which is the local Korean grocery store.  We're having friends over tomorrow for dinner and we'll be making mandoo together.  I'll take pictures and try to give a tutorial on how to make mandoo.  I have my dear friend on my list of people to invite over to make this as well.  Anyway, I needed a few ingredients.

The rest of the afternoon was spent lazily with the family coming and going from the living room.  The girls had a bubble bath with Lush bath stuff.  They're such girlie girls.

After a dinner of fried chicken, to which I apparently added too much cayenne, the kids went up to play a bit before bed.

I watched the Green Bay-Atlanta game when they went up.  It was a really nice first half, but the second was pretty boring.

    Busy?  Yes, but very simple.

I need to get back on track with my blogging.  The greater issue is that I need to get back on track with everything.  January is always a difficult month because it takes me forever to recover from Nutcracker and the Christmas season.  Hopefully, by the end of the weekend, I'll be able to have a more regular housekeeping, school, therapy and ballet routine figured out.  The housekeeping has been the hardest to keep up with.  I'm a seriously awful housekeeper.

We've been watching the Avatar series on Netflix.  We have really enjoyed this.  I have to say that I really enjoy this series.  The storyline is very interesting and some of the dialogue is hilarious.  I also LOVE Netflix instant watch.  We stream it through our Wii.

I'm working on decreasing my yarn stash.  I have a lot of cotton yarn and I'm working on a bunch of dishcloths.  Next, I'll work on my wool stash.  Then, my sock yarn stash.

It's been cold.  It's been very, very cold.  I'm such a wimp.

I need more crockpot dinners that my children will eat.  They are so picky.

I spent this past weekend with my brother, Patrick.  It was wonderful to spend the weekend doing, well, nothing.  We went shopping, ate out, and watched football.  And, no guilt for not doing any work.  It was great.  It was nice to just be there with Pat.

I have a ball to attend in February.  Here's what I'm thinking for a dress.  It's too long though.  I'll need to get it shortened and not from the bottom either.

  • Honey was making a list of things she thought to draw for a card for the gift exchange at the homeschool group's Epiphany party this Friday.  Here's the list with the items she decided not to draw crossed off.  Number 11 cracks me up.

    1.    angel?
    2.    a manger sene?
    3.    a christmas tree?
    4.    santa's workshop?
    5.    santa's sleigh?
    6.    christmas present?
    7.    raindeer stable?
    8.    house with snow on roof with santa?
    9.    candle?
    10.  plate of cookies and milk?
    11.  stocking hung by the chimny with care?
    12.  nutcracker?
    13.  elf?
    14.  snowman?
    15.  ornament?

    All spelling errors are Honey's.

It's also funny that a "raindeer stable" was considered easier than, say, a candle.

  • …when you have two ballerinas in five performances and many friends and family who love them.

Most of these were from yesterday's matinee performance.  We are now finished and we are tired.  Now to gear up for the Birth of Christ.
