Cay Gibson, a guru of picture books, is putting together an Author Fiesta. She even has a cool cover you can print out for each child’s binder. Take a look. Thanks, Cay!

I tried many, many things during this past month. I wish I had spent more time with photos, but unfortunately, my husband’s TDY (temporary duty) coincided with the month of April and it’s harder to get things done when there’s not relief in the evenings.
Here’s the last one:
Once again, I did not write down what I did. I fooled around with the creative mode settings.
This month has renewed my interest in photography. I plan on using a more scientific logical approach to learning my camera and also learning about photo editing. I don’t use my Photoshop nearly as much as I should.
Thank you, Jennifer, for this fun month of photos.

Tonight we had our year end ceremony for the Little Flowers and Blue Knights. Father Richard is so gracious to us. The boys had put together a tool box and were given these at the end of mass while the girls received, what else, flowers.
After this we had small procession outside. A young teen from our parish passed away suddenly right before Easter. The post-confirmation class purchased and planted a tree in her honor. Father blessed the tree after mass.
May Dorothy rest in peace and God give comfort to her family.

You Are a Hazelnut
You are very unique and distinct. You may even freak some people out.
Most people don’t really know how to interact with you.
You get along best with anyone who is super sweet.
But you really do get along with almost anyone. You just need a chance to wow them.As Mary Ellen wondered, I wonder whether I freak anyone out.

This month is Autism Awareness Month. There was a local event at an inflatable fun place. The children did not want to go at first, but had a wonderful time. Here are some photos, of course.
Thank you, Sue, for these hair clips!
I have these on my SUV (both sides since I can’t seem to put anything magnetic on the hatch).
By the time I was done collating handouts, Brother was done playing. I had to coax him to get out there one more time for pictures.

Dinner last night was pizza (nothing fancy). Pumpkin was eating hers when she suddenly starts crying, "Ouch! I’m bleeding." She was really crying hard and loud. I knew without even looking what the problem was. I told her it was only tomato sauce. She stopped the caterwauling immediately, licked her finger, said "Oh.", and continued with dinner.
She obviously did not inherit my high tolerance for pain.
