Pumpkin loves to run around naked after her bath. I indulge her. This time she wanted to climb.

We’re building a house. It’s a big step for us since we’re military and well, we move a lot. However, we’re supposed to stay here for another 3 years at least, maybe 4. So, we made the big leap and am building. It’s really exciting to watch it go up. The kids enjoy seeing it too. They want to drive by it every day, but I think it’s more fun to go once a week and see how much progress there is.
This is before anything happened at the end of May.
Look, there’s some activity going on before my vacation in June. Finally, our frame is up. I’m so excited. I know there’s plenty of work to be done and it will take a while longer, but it’s still very fun and exciting to watch. I’ll keep y’all posted.

My friends just had a baby. This baby came out a toddler. Jacob was born on Wednesday night weighing in a 10lbs 3 oz. He measured 22 inches long. She had him the normal way. I had a 10 pounder, but I had to have a csection. Brother got stuck. I wish I could see this baby. Makes me want another one.
Alice and Lissa have newborns. Mary Ellen is pregnant with twins, Elizabeth is pregnant as is Michele. These lovely ladies are from the Real Learning message boards. Makes me want another one.
Two women I know in my very small (6 families or so) homeschool group are newly pregnant. Makes me want another one.
Hmmmm…could be because my baby is one and trying to be very independent. Or, it could be I just need another one.

There’s some great discussion going on on various blogs regarding curriculum. Melissa Wiley at her new ClubMom blog, The Lilting House has some great ideas. Look at parts one and two also. Elizabeth Foss has great advice about finding the right fit for your particular family.
One of my favorite places to go visit is the Real Learning message boards. These wonderful ladies have so much experience in Catholic homeschooling. I’ve gleaned so many ideas and found many wonderful books. Mostly, I lurk. Someday, I hope to be able to contribute as ably as these ladies. Alice always has some wonderful and easy craft ideas for many feast days and events. Her Lenten tea is a wonder I hope to accomplish in the future when I am able. Cay wrote a wonderful book I’ve already raved over, Catholic Mosaic. This book will enrich our religious education by using books to learn more about the liturgical year. If you haven’t read it yet, you need to get your hands on one. This is only the tip of the iceberg. I need to update the list, but click on any of the Real Learning blogs. I learn a lot by visiting these cyberhomes.
Go click and learn.

Sister: I’m Mary.
Honey: Mary, where’s God?
Right to the point.

Well, I’ve changed my look. I really like this template better. I’ve been wanting green because well, it’s a cabbage patch. I’m excited. Maybe this will inspire me to finally post more. I’m almost all done moving (temporarily) so soon I will be back on a schedule. We all so need it.

It’s hard to believe, but Honey turns 3 today. Where did the time go? It seems like just yesterday, I was waiting to have my Csection. I can still remember feeling so hungry because it had been over 12 hours since my last meal. Such cruelty to a pregnant woman. It sure was worth the wait.

stopped by a trip down memory lane. I get distracted by those wonderful things like photo albums. I discovered one I hadn’t looked at since we moved into this house. It contained pictures of my two oldest months before Honey was born. Oh, how little they were. This was before we knew about Brother’s autism. Pumpkin looks just like Sister did at one year old. It’s uncanny. If I could work the scanner/printer, I would upload a picture to show you, but I packed it away. It’s about the only thing I’ve been able to pack (I’ve packed 4 boxes so far). Like most homeschoolers, I love books and buy whenever I can. It’s better than no progress. I feel better. My mother is coming on Thursday to help with the children so I can pack. She’ll stay for a couple of days.
