Purging and Garage Sale

Ben is leaving in somewhere in the month of November for Afghanistan.  So, I'm in a bit of a panic.  He's my playroom clean-up-er.  So, I've been wanting to purge and actually did start purging, but I've been stuck for a while now.  I'm paralyzed by the idea of so much stuff to purge.  I'm paralyzed by having to organize it all.  I need to make our things simpler so our lives can be a bit simpler.  I want the children to have less toys so they can stop being overwhelmed by all the stuff (the apples do not fall far from the tree).  I'm also a pack rat.  Sigh.

ETA:  I forgot.  I'm selling all our purged items from toys to baby clothes to baby stuff.

    Wish I could come help w/ the purging.
    I know what you mean about feeling paralyzed by it all.
    I was paralyzed by the clutter of our school books Sunday evening, was immobilized Monday and Tuesday, a friend wrote Tuesday night that we would have a used book sale in June so I purged Wednesday and Thursday and am feeling better about it all today. 🙂
    Nothing like a book sale to give a hsing mom the motivation. LOL
