So, take a bunch of newly knitted items.
Soak in warm water. I used a bit of lavender scented dishwasher detergent.
Roll in towel to remove excess moisture.
Spread out to see the beautiful feather and fan pattern in the scarf.
See the difference? Now to wrap the gifts and mail them off to two lovely ladies up North. I'm sure they'll be able to use these for many more weeks.
Blocking sure makes a difference! I have to admit that I am a lazy knitter. I rarely block anything. But I think I will start, because that really looks nice. I did block a sleeveless cardigan and it looked much better after. Your knitting looks wonderful. On the legwarmers…are you ribbing them? My girls are going to start dancing in the fall so I might make them some.

Wow, that’s the same pattern?? Huge difference. Love those colors. Finally made it out of the house a little bit this morning to the yarn shop. WOOHOO! Got me some new wool to make a soaker for Jacob.
